How can i get free computers for my church organisation?

Am Moses Mati founder of Immanuel Salvation Christian centre, our ministry is based in the rural area, and we have no money to buying computers for our office. please can you help where i can get at list 2 computers and 1 printer?

Computers are always changing, people like to upgrade or buy for the latest technology. This mean  that there are plenty of spare parts or spare machines lying around peoples houses.

Start a campaign for locals to donate old computers or unwanted computer parts (motherboards, graphics cards, keyboards, monitors.)

Hand leaflets out to people on a Saturday in a shopping area, posters in shops, school children to take home, church members. Get posters out in shops everywhere. With a clear address for them to drop items off.

Eventually you should have a large collection of computers or parts. You can either use the best PC dontated or build a good pc using parts.

Get your local community involed and with any spare parts left over you can send for recycling. Check online, there are plenty of places to recycle unused computers and parts.

Let me know how it goes. I for one have a PC that is sat around doing nothing and will work perfectly. I just live very far from you and in the UK!

If there is a school or large business near, you could ask them. Periodically they upgrade and get rid of computers. If they are smart they will empty the hard drives before donating. Sometimes you can get free computers which are only three years old or less.

It will be hard to get them free, but you can organize fundraisers, and most likely, you will get reduced prices if you buy in bulk. Also, if you contact the company, you may be able to get lower prices because it is helping the community.
