Focus on learning guitar chords. It is the fastest and easiest way to learn to play the guitar. So you could either

1. Go to the library and search for a book

2. Go to the music store and get a book for yourself

I suggest you learn the G, C, D, E and A chords to start out. I think you should learn how to strum them. Once you get good at holding your fingers and changing form chord to chord you are ready to learn "Tab". Tab is the fastest and easiest way to learn. Search the internet for "guitar tabs". You will get a lot free. However, do not rush in to tab just yet. Learn to play them chords to get your fingers working, "also those chords are played a lot". Practice a lot and do not rush it.
