How can i get higher on my jumps so i can start getting revolutions?

Im a figure skater, is there anything i can do off the ice to improve my overall skating, is there anything i should be doing to making my jumps higher,

  1. while practecing on ice bend your knees more before jumping

    try it off the ice to

    also try to do streches

    and bike riding


  2. Do your jumps off the ice and try to get higher and higher every time. Also, there are some excercises that you can do which are like jumping up and down and bringing your arms in like you are going in for a loop jump. Also, on the ice you probably need to bend your knees more.

  3. stretch (splits and such) for 15-30 minutes 1-3 times a day.

    then do off-ice

    jumping:

    10 up and landing

    10 knees to chest

    10 singles

    10 axels

    10 doubles

    triples maybe? ask your coach first

    jump rope

    and ride a bike (stationary or regular) for 30 minutes to keep up endurance

  4. If the ice you should do strength training to make your muscles stronger.  Things like weight lifting, squats, sit ups, push ups, and other similar exercises are good.  On the ice think about lifting before rotating.
