You can't make a baby sleep thru the night. They will eventually learn on their own. Now with older children it is sometimes a matter of getting too many naps in during the day and you can cut those down. This is all a part of being a parent is getting up during the night several times like I did with my daughter until she was close to 4 years old until they can sleep thru the night. We all get thru it. The whole cereal in the bottle is a very bad idea and so is crying it out. It does not work. Some people that have babies that sleep thru the night or just lucky.
