  1. The beauty of homeschooling is having flexible schedule for school...perhaps a parent can work with you on some of the evening hours or if they work nights, they can do the day shift with you.

Online courses are plenty and usually have accountability that way which means parents don't have as much hands on work.

Check with HSLDA.org and Texas Home Educators for more details on the legal requirements for Texas.

I understand it is the friendliest state to homeschool in as far as legal requirements.

  2. 1) You can be an official homeschool--which means you function as a private school--and learn on your own. This can be done in one of three ways: a) your parents decide it all in terms of your work and you do the work while they're at work; b) you work with your parents on deciding what to learn for your high school years; c) you decide it all on  your own. A great book for supporting this option (as well as option B) is The Teenage Liberation Handbook.

    2) You can sign up with a program. k12 doesn't have a high school program where you live, so that's not a free option, but you are able to sign up with them and pay. (If you sign up with any program, you will have to pay.) There is a Texas-specific program http://www.depts.ttu.edu/ode/ or you can choose something else, like Bridgeway Academy, Keystone National High School, Penn Foster, American School of Correspondence, etc.

Whichever option you choose, do make sure to stay or get connected with others and figure out a way for you to be able to do things during the day instead of just being at home all the time. Homeschool activities, joining  gym, volunteering and more can all be done during school hours. Make the most of them!
