How can i get into OCHSA school ?

I have been planning to apply for OCHSA and audition for the acting conservatory and i need to know some stuff . please help .

I haven't had any experience with professional shows or anything , but i have been in school plays , and ive learned from different teachers about theatre. and since i was little , i acted by myself and wrote little plays of my own. I also got my family to participate with me and act with me to help me improve.

Do you think it would go well if i auditioned?

well as for resume Wise...no. They may not consider school plays as actual productions. You need a lot of training in voice dance and drama. Try community theater for shows. start building that resume by taking classes. keep moving up the chart theater wise.  then in about 5 yrs. depending on your progress and talent you could make it!  good luck and don't stop dreaming!!

Hi there!

I am a Junior at OCHSA and this is my second year attending the school. I think if you are confident in your audition, and do your best, you will definitely get in! Auditioning at OCHSA is not that difficult. Since you want to act, you will audition for the Music and Theater conservatory. In the Music and Theater conservatory there are three sub-conservatories: Musical Theater, Voice, and Acting. If you enjoy singing as well as acting, I would recommend going into Musical Theater, but if you are interested in only acting, prepare at least a two minute monologue and set your audition time with your conservatory's director (of who's name I do not know-- call the school).

As for your experience, it doesn't really matter. As long as they know that you love acting and you do your very best auditioning, you probably have a slot already there for you.
