  1. this is simple

  2. offer prizes like stuffed animals for younger kids and itunes cards (cheap ones) for the teens

  3. You should play lots of games at first and offer prizes like candy.  That way they learn at the same time they are having fun.  After they are into it you can do drills and games so they progress a little faster.

  4. advertize at schools where the parents will see, most will probably just send the kids to get them off of the couch, do raffles at the end of the week with candy, everyone likes candy.  and make the learning fun, play games, encourage the kids to make friends in the class... i did a little club thing once and the coaches were playing in some tournament thing and they made it a feild trip for the kids to go and see the match, i heard it was a good experiance that made the whole sport pretty enjoyable. maybe do some kids tournament at the end of the season and offer for friends to go and play for a session or two, that is always fun to do.

  5. I used to coach tennis during the summer for about 5-6 years. We would play "Sky Ball" (set the ball machine to shoot straight up in the air, tell the kids to catch the balls and see how many they would catch), "Pick up the trash" (put 20 balls and 4 kids on each side then tell them to throw the ball to the other side of the court. The team with no balls on their side wins),  and "Pass the racket" (4-5 kids in a drill line and tell them that they have to pass the racket around between them as they rally with you).

We also had theme days. Every other friday, we'd do melted Kit-Kat day. The instructors would put the Kit-Kats on the top of the tennis hut and let them melt. After practice, the kids all got a melted candy bar. We also had watermelon, gatorade, and popsicle days.

Tennis is about having fun and enjoying the sport - pass your love for tennis onto the kids by showing them how much fun it is.
