How can i get more customers for my small business?

I own a small business called Free Pet Baby Sitting and i havent got any customers for quite a while ( 6 months ). Of course it is not profit and if people want to pay me all the proceads go to an animal shelter (in this case THS). I dont know any more ways that i can get customers i dont under stand why...its free i will take care of your pet as long as you want, i will groom your pet, and i will also walk your pet if you are a short distance from my home... The only reason i wanted to open this business is to get more experence so when i become a vet i will have much to relate about the owner and i have always wanted a dog ( i will get more veriety of breeds because i love them all=D )

Hmm, no offense but your 'business' doesn't sound like a good idea. Maybe you should get a job at a pet store or at a animal hospital. atleast then you'll get some money.

put some  some  small -short- & sweet C/ds in your local newspapers...and when you meet your future clients be honest & explain your intentions-  People usually suport good causes.- Typeset some Circulars  and do some local distribution.   Aleays you can try & hope for the best.

Why don't you consider it a pet sitting type thing like baby sitting but charge them, then split the money 50/50 between the animal shelter and a vet college fund. How old are you? Call it Pet sitting not pet baby sitting kind of doesn't make sense. Leave flier in local businesses if they allow you. Do alot of homework on different animals, because it sounds like your kinda young but if you get possible costumers and they might doubt you know what your doing.
