  2. Yeah, you have to find something you like.

Personally, I enjoy fantasy books and things such as that.

What I do when I read, is I listen to music, and soon the music is like background noise that helps tune out the rest of the world.

Then all it is, is just me and my book.

    :D

    Maybe you could try that?

  3. Maybe you should start by reading books of which you've seen the movies (Most movies are made about books). Since you already know the story, you might read it faster. Also, it will let you see the difference between the movie and the book.

If you don't like this idea, choose books the same way you choose your movies (with you interests). Go to you local library or book store and ask for advice. If you go to the library, take lots of books, that way you'll have lots to choose from when you'll decide to read.

Reading is a treasure, once you discover it.

  4. You need to find something that interests you. Maybe you're into murder mystery, maybe books about girls/guys your age who have real life issues, etc. Read around and see what grabs your attention. I was never a Harry Potter fan myself. :/

  5. Find a topic that really interests you ,for example if you like to watch sci fi shows on tv or play action games try finding books that involve sci-fi or action.

  6. The best way to start reading more is too enjoy it.And not having books forced on you.You can go to your library and look up books about what ever you like. One of my favorite series is the Dirk Pitt series by Clive Cussler. Its adventure with a little bit of history. The books ares very good.Expecially Atlantis Found and Vahalla Rising. You probably would like the books, and it doesnt matter if you read them in order or not.Hope that helps.

  7. find something you really like reading, if you like sci-fi or horror try finding something, if you like the classics try those, how much you like reading depends on if you LIKE what your reading or not, if you like what your reading its easier and more enjoyable to read it and reading gets more fun

  8. The one thing that tortures me the most about reading is not being able to relax and the very start of a new book...generally you have no idea what's going on, so take breaks every now and again and then keep coming back to the book.

  9. Find a book genre that you DO like. Maybe your more of a realistic fiction guy. Then I'd recommend Sleeping Freshmen Never Lie by David Lubar and Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie by Jordan Sonnenblick.
