I would like to place more than one search box in Firefox. I am aware that I can change the search engine, but i find clicking twice too hard. I'd just like to have the option to have other search engines there too, as seperate boxes. How can I do that?

Thank You.

  1. Short of adding a toolbar I'm not sure; you could use Groowe Search Toolbar

  2. From your question I guess you are saying that you want more search options on your desktop, correct? Well you can always add more toolbars. You don't say which search engine you are using at the moment so let's just say you are using Yahoo. You will have to add Google, AOL or whatever as a separate toolbar. A very good toolbar to have in Firefox is Groowe. This toolbar has all of the main search engines in one toolbar, ie Yahoo, Google, Wikipedia, MSN, Amazon, Ask etc. And you can add others, like YouTube.

  3. I'm not sure you can, but there may be an addon that can help you

    https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox...

or check hotkeys - I believe you can setup up different search engines depending on whether you hit <enter> or <ctrl><enter> when doing your search.

  4. I've searched for this answer myself, but at this time, from what I've found, that's not an option.  You can only use the 1 search box and switch engines as needed / wanted.
