  1. i'm in the same situation!! its soo frustrating.

what i've been doing is taking extra classes with the group ahead of me. it is really helping me improve. it allows you and your teacher to see if you're ready for the next group (mostly your teacher since you already know it)

well i hope that you get into the next group. and don't get discouraged (as i have been) about the new girls who came.

and the people in your class are just jealous.

remember though.. you can always improve in dancing, so instead of getting frustrated about not moving up, focus on getting that turn into five or getting over-splits or getting a higher jump. all of this will help you in the next class anyways so you might as well practice!

and who do you think looks the best in the group? you!!

  2. If you have a real passion for dance, then you shouldn't care what people think. I have gone through the same thing. I think my abilities could take me to the next highest class, but my dance teachers would never do that. There has been a lot of drama and bad blood this year between not only us but others. They don't conduct their business right and take it out on us. I'm leaving. But, if that is not the case with you, you should ask your instructor what you could do to improve your skills. Also ask her what is needed for you to move up a level or two. Tell her you want to try your hardest and maybe she can help you. Maybe taking extra classes somewhere else or trying a new style would work too.

  3. Stretch all summer long- go to any summer classes if possible.  Also eat healthy and exercise such as doing crunches, push ups, jumping jacks... they will help a lot for you in dance.

  4. I suggest you practice practice practice! Watch tutorial videos on youtube. Ask your dance teacher for private lessons so you can improve.
