I've got a Creative 7.1 sound system linked up to a SoundBlaster sound card,, now i can get full surround sound for all my computer games, but I can't get it to work for any of my dvd's, My main dvd program is PowerDVD, but the sound only comes out of the front 2 speakers (and the sub). Does anyone know the answer to this problem? Or can you recommend a good DvD player for my pc? Thanks - J.T

  1. I'm not sure but look in the settings for your soundcard?? I know mine you can change the setup from 2.1/4.1/5.1 etc...  Also mabe go into setup on the main menu of the dvd. You probably can get 5.1 but maybe not 7.1

  2. im not sure if it will work since most DVD's are not broadcast in 7.1 surround sound yet. On my computer i have the audio ran through Digital Coaxial which can run anywhere from 2 channel stereo to 7.1 surround sound through my Denon Receiver . I have not got any movies to run in 7.1 surround yet , but i have got it work with most major games.
