well when i was little like 5 or 6 my cat loved me! She used to sleep with me and play with me all the time! I never rememberd how much she loved me until about 3 weeks ago i saw some photos of me as a child and in every photo that i was sleeping in, she was right next to me snoozing too.(as i get older i forgot alot about my younger childhood). Now,she is a little devil she never plays with me unless she is on catnip! Sometimes she gives me kisses and jumps on my lap when im on the computer but how can i get her to trust me enough to lay down and sleep with me again. (without catnip)

  1. give her lots of affection give her milk and tuna and toys and show her that she can trust never hurt her and scratch her behind the ear they love that

  2. Play with her alot and encourage her good behavior. When she is affectionate towards you, praise the behavior and she'll get the message. Do not give cats milk. It upsets their tummies and often gives them diarrhea. Treat her by giving her lots of praise, not food. Cats are very independent so give her some time to make up her mind and decide what she wants to do- she won't just love you over night! Good luck!

  3. Well, cats are very independent, and if your cat has decided it doesn't like you anymore that may be it, but you can always try feeding it lots of treats. And let it come to you. If you try to force it the cat will just avoid you more.

  4. It may be her age! I don't know how old she is, but if you have had her from age 5, she must be a senior cat. Some cats change as they get older, they slow down, want some alone sleeping time and some quiet time. You probably haven't done anything wrong! Remember cats years are more than ours, she'll be in her 60's or 70's in cat years.

So just give her lots of fuss and affection, which she may appreciate more than playtime and she may decide to settle down to sleep with you again :) Don't worry, I'm sure she still loves you as much as she did, and probably even more!

  5. Cats become independant when they become older.

Your cat has matured as well and has developed other

interests. Cats are aloof by nature so just enjoy the

attention she gives you when she chooses to give it.

Cats love busy laps so she will always choose to bother you when you are busy at the computer or something else.

Your kitty still loves you trust me.

  6. Aw,I'm sure she still loves you.  It's just that her preferenes have changed now that she's older and she wants her own space.  Just because she no longer sleeps with you doesn't mean she doesn't love you.  Try to spend more time with her by letting her lay in your lap and playing with her favorite toys.
