  1. Turn the house upside down.

  2. Quit feeding it and it won't p**p so much.

  3. Anything with a citrus smell may help.  Washing your carpet with a citrus cleaner will stop her fouling on it (but she may not want to even walk on it then).

  4. if you see her about to take a poo, pick her up and stick her in the litter box and wait. if she gets out put her back in. she will eventully get the point.

    Good luck

if have any questions e-mail me! =)

  5. Is she pooping right outside the litter box?

If she IS pooping just right outside the litter box, it's probably because she, like my husband's cat, is just dumb.  This cat will put herself inside the box, but leave her business end hanging out.  End result?  p**p on the floor.  Used to drive me nuts, especially since my own cat is extra-finicky about digging careful holes and making certain he hits the hole he digs.

And if that IS the problem, the solution is to get a box with taller sides or to put the litter box inside a crate.  Anything to force kitty to be ALL THE WAY inside before doing her business.

  6. You have to get rid of the smell- I use a strong mix (about half and half) of vinegar-water.  Just spray it on the spot (after cleaning) and leave it on.  You'll smell the vinegar for a while but it fades away.  It is also safe for using around pets and even pets with allergies.  I would also teach the cat by shutting in the room with the litter box for a day or two.  You also want to keep the litter box clean - if it gets too dirty (by your cat's standard) she won't use it.  I use the sandy, scoopable type litter and scoop it each day and change it once a week.  I have four cats, and that works well for them.

  7. lock it in the restroom or cage with the litter box. Everytime it does that

  8. If it seems to p**p in the same spot try putting the liter box where he is pooping it worked for me. Good Luck!

  9. get a litter box and to litter box train it shove its butt in it.

  10. ROFL!!! I suggest you buy it a litter box. What I did to get my cat to use it was, pretend to use it and she started going by herself.(lol luna D. and kameron)

  11. Try cleaning the carpet with a cleaner that removes organic smell. Also block her access to the carpet for a certain period of time until she "forgets" that particular p**p spot OR place the cat litter box ontop of the spot where she likes to p**p and then gradually move it to where you want it to be. Usually the cats, once they get used to using the litter box, will continue to do so.

That's all I can think of really, except, are you using a high quality coagulating cat litter? When I first met them, my husband's kitten had a nasty habit of peeing on the bed, but he stopped as soon as the bed was thoroughly cleaned with the organic smell remover and he was given another type of cat litter.

  12. Check her ears for ear mites. This will cause cats to potty

    anywhere.

  13. If this is a recent change in her behaviour then it's a good idea to take her to the vet for a check-up as it can be a symptom of illness.  If the vet gives her the all clear, then you need to look for behavioural causes.

It might be something as simple as not wanting to use the same litter box for urination and defecation.  Do you have other cats or pets?  Perhaps she doesn't want to share the litter box with them, or maybe there's a bit of a dispute going on between them over territory?  Have there been any changes of any kind within the home that might have stressed her?

The web site below has a check list of 18 reasons why cats stop using their litter box and advice on how to solve the problem.  You'll also find advice there on the most effective methods of cleaning.  Remember that cats have a much better sense of smell than us, and if she can detect any trace of her own scent, she'll continue to think of it as a toilet area.  (Putting dishes of dry food down after cleaning, will help remind her that it isn't).

  14. I can't quite tell from your question if you have a kitten or an adult cat.  My adult cat was the same way, but only if I have major change in my life.  Moved from an apartment into a house and she pooped on the floor for about two weeks.  Got a new boyfriend, she pooped on the floor after everytime he visited.  Take her to the vet, she poops on the floor.  I am pretty sure she just poops out of spite.

Make sure you have her litterbox in a nice quiet spot.  I have always found that cats want some sort of privacy when using the box.  If you can't have it it a private area, try using a box with a lid.

Try spending a bit more time with your cat as well, it might be feeling a bit neglected.

Hope some of those suggestions help!

  15. well if she poops on the floor you can put her out side or put her in a room with the litter box and close the door shell realize she cant be inside or be around the house if she poops on the floor and shell have the only choice but to use the litter box if you put her in the room every once in a while. my cat would poo on my parents bed but now she does it outside
