How can i get my cd drive to show up on the screen?

ok so i go a new cac and iam put the cd in the cd thing and

usally it would just pop up after i put it in but it didnt dso i can i get it up

You might want to check the CD drive to make sure the little light is on when you put the CD in. I imagine you have a light. If it doesnt, that means the CD  player is not working. Usually theres a really really really tiny little hole next to the light button that you need to take something really skin, like a pin or pencil point and press and that will turn it on. But usually you cant eject CDs either when you do this... so it isnt probably the case. But you can try pressing the button anyway, no harm done.

You could also try going to start>computer> and then finding the CD drive, usually under "drives" or "computer" or something. If its a laptop then its under the "DVD RW" drive. Click on the drive and see if your CD shows, then press play. If your CD doesnt show or it says "please insert a disc into the drive" that means its not recognizing your CD. This has happened to me before, I just shut the computer off and then turned it back on. (NOT RESTART-shut it off then on.)

If that still doesnt work, you mention your computer was new. In that case I cant help you I dont know much about new computers. Although ive never heard of needing to install anything to get the CD/DVD drive to work.
