How can i get my computers speaker system to work on my tv?

My tv has a headphone jack. When i plug the speakers into the headphone jack, sound only comes out of 1 speaker and the subwoofer. How can i get sound out of both?

switch the speakers to make sure they both work!

check your tv. menu to make sure it's on stereo, not mono. however it sounds like a connection problem! double check your connections!

If sound is only coming out of one speakers it is most likely running mono and not stereo.

Check the tip of your cable (the part you plug into the tv) if there is only one line going around it then its mono. If there is two lines then its stereo. You want two lines.

Also, I'm not positive the headphone jack on the tv is the best place to plug in. If there is rca inputs(like on the back of a vcr/dvd player) in the back of your tv then you should plug into those.

In which case you'll have to buy an audio rca cable (red and white ends) with an adapter to fit your laptop. Or just go online and look up ipod stereo cables....you should find what your looking for.
