  1. Greek citizenship law does not work that way.  Having been born in Greece did not give you Greek citizenship.  You could only have acquired Greek citizenship at birth by being born to one or two Greek citizen parents, or if you were abandoned at birth in Greece, or born to two stateless parents.

  2. You automatically have it when your born. When your in Greece your recognized as Greek when your in the US your recognized as an American.

Draw back is you can't vote or join the military. You will have to pick one country if you want to vote.

  3. If you are born abroad to US parents, then certain conditions apply as to whether you derive US citizenship (see the State Dept website).

Being born in Greece may not automatically mean that you get Greek citizenship, again you would have to consult the authorities of Greece.

The simplest way is to attempt to apply for a US passport (at the US passport office or US Embassy) and to also attempt to apply for a Greek passport (at the Greek passport office or Embassy). If you can successfully obtain both passports, then you hold proof of your dual-citizenship.

  4. Your best bet would be to contact someone within immigration and naturalization services. It will be much easier if you have all the documentation proving that you are the son of an military official, i.e birth certificate or something with his name on it  signed stating that you are his son. Then show this evidence to those individuals and there shouldn't be any hassle involve.
