How can i get my girlfriend's father to like & trust me?

i love this girl, but her father is very strict & mean. how can i gain his trust & good side?

First of all, be yourself.  If you are trying to be fake, he'll see right through you!  Secondly, that is his baby...he's not going to just let anybody take her out.  He is going to be worried you are moving too fast or she is spending all of her time with you.

I would also speak to your girlfriend about not talking about you too much, and making sure she spends time w/ her family and not just you.  This will let them see you are not trying to be possessive.  

See if you can have get togethers once a month.  Maybe go to a favorite restaurant, out for some coffee, go to the park for a picnic, have a bbq, whatever sounds fun.  This way you can catch up and have some small talk, but it's not overwhelming.  Point out the positive things you are doing with your life, but don't just talk about yourself.  Show interest in her family as well.

I would bring something nice like candy, cake, etc when you go over there house. and when you go out on dates bring her home exact the time of what her parents want her home maybe even early!

talk to him, be nice to him, most guys tend to not want to talk to the girls parents thats a big thing in my family..So why not invite them to dinner and cook and just talk and enjoy the night,,

I would say let him cool off a bit and tell your girlfriend to not always say HEY DAD IM GOING OUT WITH MY BOYFRIEND all the time. if you really do love this girl just leave as it is for now. then later on just tell your girlfriend to tell her dad that your a very nice and trustworthy guy.

You just have to be yourself don't try to impress him. Also if that does not work just don't worry about it, it's a 2 person relationship. Not a 3 so don't beat yourself up about it.
