  1. A shorter rope helps, around 25 feet. tell her to relax her legs but not all the way, keep the board halfway in the water before starting, and crouch down a little bit while leaning back. then once shes up turn the board after a second or two.

  2. If you have a tower on your boat, give this a try.  Shorten the line to about 15 or 20 feet behind the boat.  This will give you a sharper angle to the rider and provide more lift.  Get her in position and throttle to only about 10 mph.  The slower start will give her the chance to get up a little easier.  As soon as she is up and riding, bring the boat to a stop and do it several more times until the muscle memory gets set.  Then let the rope all the way out.  Once she is up, for the first few times keep the boat at a slower speed, 12 - 17 mph until she is comfortable at higher speeds.  Then she will be hooked.  I've trained many riders from 12 - 26 years old this way.  Once they get the feel at the shorter line length, they have no problem all the way out.  Hope that helps, it has with my family and friends.

  3. tell her not to stand up. thats the problem with a majority of the beginners, they try to stand up. tell her to let the boat pull her up,  and, if its comfortable, she should have her arms (with the handle) on the inside of her knees.  and once she gets up, tell her to keep the handle at her hip so she doesnt slide around and catch an edge.
