How can i get my internet working again

Question

I have a home wireless set up.

The desktop is attached to the modem and the laptop is run wirelessly.

The laptop's internet is working fine but the desktop will not connect.

It was fine, Then the next day it wouldnt work.

I have no firewalls on or anything like that (I TURNED THEM OFF BECAUSE I GOT TOLD IT MIGHT BE THE FIREWALL THAT IS STOPPING IT- So please stop just answering saying 'GET A FIREWALL')

I have turned it all off and put it back on, EVERYTHING.

But nothing is working.

PLEAAASEEEE HELP.

Actually there could be lots if reasons for the internet not working in the desktop, first of all if u r using XP then try system restore to any date when it was working fine, if this doesn't solves the problem, let me know i'll help u in trouble shooting.
