i've heard places that i can get my learner's permit when i'm 14 with parental consent.

do i have to have a good reason to be able to get it? such as one of my parents are impaired and require me to drive them around?

or can they just give consent and i take classes and get it?

thanks in advance.

  1. it is possible but there has to be a very good reason and it is also highly restricted it basically lets you drive yourself to school and back to the doctors and back and to the grocery store and back and you have to pick three cities to stay in and you cant drive at night and you cant drive on freeways and im not shure what the cutoff age is but if ur almost fifteen you might be able to get one but its not as good as a real permit and oh and you also have to take extended drivers ed and take extra tests

  2. I dont think you can get a learners permit at 14.  I know you can take drivers ed when you are that age and get a permit the day you turn 15 but im sorry i think thats the earliest.

  3. no way. sorry...way too young

there is no possible way you can get it that young. no way.......i'm really sorry i may seem harsh but theres no way in h**l you can get a learners permit that young. trust me...i'm 14 and if that was possible i'd have it in a heartbeat

  4. No your to  young.

  5. yes

  6. Just be greatfull you can get it at 15.  Im from australia and we have to wait till were 16 then 17 till we can drive alone.

I have heard of a hardship license but these have special limits.

  7. That depends on the state you live. In Washington state, you can get it at 15 if you are taking a driver's ed class concurrently, or 15 1/2 if you aren't. My state doesn't look at special circumstances such as your situation, but I would definitely look at your own state's dept. of motor vehicles website (its the dept. of licensing in my state). Also, call the dept. up or go into the DMV office in-person to ask. Good luck!
