How can i get my mom to let me wear eyeliner?

Question

i only want to use a little bit on the bottom of my eye... and my mom is sort of strict, but that that much.. i can wear eyeshadow and lip gloss..

i am planning on calling her at work so i can ask her over the phone.. idk why but she lets me do more stuff that way. =]

Maybe one day, put some eyeliner on, and ask your mother if you can wear your makeup like that, or if she thinks you look okay. Show her how much you are wanting to wear. She probably is just afraid that you will go overboard with it is all.

she probably won't say no as long as you dont put alot on

hmmm.same prob here..but im nnot allowed to wear makeup at all..it sux...but i cant do anything about it..i dont know what advice i could give..that actually works...

im 13 and i use it but i was allowed to when i was 12 or maybe even 11. but i didn't start until a few weeks ago. but i didn't even really ask, i just put it on one day and thought i looked better with it than without so... hmm...you know when i clicked 'Answer this question', i had really good advice but know i can't remember...but i don't see why you shouldn't be able to wear it if you wear eyeshadow. have you asked her why she doesn't want you wearing eyeliner? try that and and post what she says so maybe people can help you better. but for now, this is all i have so...good luck!

hmmm maybe shes afraid you wont wear it properly. When I first started wearing makeup I was around your age(I think I got to start when I was going into 8th grade), and instead of asking my mom if I could wear this or that, I asked her to show me how to wear it, so we did a whole make up routine, and she showed me how to wear everything, she got so into it, we went out and bought me my own make up. Maybe you could suggest to your mom, (when shes at home) if she could show you how to wear eyeliner properly, ask her mom, I am 14 now and I wanted to start wearing a little more make up, and I was wondering if you could show me how to wear eyeliner, and if its ok with you maybe I could get some of my own. I think moms are more likely to give in when their daughters are asking for their help :), she probably lets you do more stuff when you call her at work b/c she probably busy and needs to get back to work. good luck to you

Maybe if you just talk to her and explain that you won't wear it too heavy she'll be more understanding. Just talk to her nicely and if she say's not don't get angry because then she might make you wait even longer.

Say that it is just a little bit, and that it is to bring out your eyes and make them stand out. You will not look trashy beacuse it is just a little bit :)

heres what i did i baught some and put on only a tiny bit the a said do you notice any thing about me and do i look good today? she said ''no honey you look beautiful, why?" i told her i was wearing eyeliner and once she saw i was usuing it not over the yop like she thought she said fine you can wear eyeliner but only if you were it the way you are right now. the after time you gradguly put more on until you have the amount you want and if you do it slowly the chanses are she wont notice you have it on because you will be wearing it every day!!!!!!!
