How can i get my parents to let me buy an xbox 360?

ok, i have always wanted one, i have $450 which is more than enough because, i want to buy the one that is $350 or $300, i have a ps2 and gamecube but, i bought the ps2 and they bought me the gamecube, it wasnt at the same time though my parents bought me the gamecube 5 years ago and i bought the ps2 2 years ago. im 15 and gonna be 16 in september, plz help me!!

I think you should just wait.  If you get a job and then start earning your own money, mom and dad will eventually see how hard you've worked toward something that you really want.  You'll live.

For your 16th birthday you can ask for one or just invite lots of friends and tell them all you want is money so you can just use that or write our a well thought out paragraph or something to them or give them a well thought out speech. It always works on my parents.

Tell them they'll be able to rent movies instantly for pretty cheap (I think its less than 5 bucks), without having to leave the house.  You'll need an internet connection but there's a lot of movies to select from and it changes from time to time.  Let them know this is what you would like to do with your money, and politely ask to schedule a time to go.  Good luck!

Try to reslove an agreement between you and them. Act more responisble around the house, by doing your chores and other stuff like that. If they think you have to many systems, than sell one of them.

wow ur 15 and u still dont have independence?

well then id say its about time you step up to ur parents and say its ur money and you'll do whatever you want with it. and then you could always use the"i promise i'll get good grades in school, and i'll promise i only play 2 hours a day" and if all else fails, realize that acting depressed for a long time can break anyone! good luck, hope to see you on xbox live soon!

Do you have any friends with 360's and xbox live? you can say that it allows you to meet up with your friends online rather than playing alone. Or you can say how much better the games are than the last generation. I got my parents into using the xbox 360 by showing them the extra features it has - e.g. the downloadable movies. Just try and sell it to them from a parents perspective, more sociable than older consoles because of online, keep in touch with old friends, cheaper than PS3 etc.

start off by asking about it, and then since you

have more than enough money- offer to pay for half

of the cost. and if they dont budge, say you'll pay

for it. that's what my brother did, but he paid for half.

Ask Them Why They Don't Want You To Buy One & Try To Reason With Them. But They Shouldn't Be Able To Tell You What To Spend Your Money On, Especially If You're Almost 16..
