How can i get my tv into video mode without a gernic remote?

Question

We have a Lio television and dont have the remote to it.. We do have a rca gernic remote but i cant seem to figure out how to put it into video mode so i can use my nintendo wii that i just got..

Can someone help me with a suggestion,

If your TV has a front panel, try looking for a button that is labeled AVX, AUX, or Input. Also, the remote should have either one of those buttons. Just press the AVX, AUX, or Input button until you get the right Input channel on your TV.

you need to program it using the codes that came in the pamphlet that came with the remote.  if you no longer have the pamphlet, go to the store, buy another remote, copy the codes down, put remote back in packaging and return it. That's what i did.
