How can i get my website noticed more?

Question

Hello please can you have a look at my website http://www.trickettmarineproducts.co.uk/ its my parents business and well i have tried to put in as many links as poss, Title tags, description tags, alt tags, and keywords and submitted it to the search engines, Please can you tell me what else i need to do! Please

Im trying me very best to learn how to design websites, but feel im failing when it comes to SEO. Would love any suggestions!!

I made up some vinyl stickers for a friends business and we have installed them on all his companies vehicles. www.myfriendsbusiness.com

Also, you can put the URL as a signature so that it goes out with all your emails. You can start up a myspace page for the business as well. There are many things you can see others doing that you can copy. Good luck!

You've put in as many links as poss, but try and link your website to other high quality websites.

You can do this by requesting a link exchange with other websites.  Make sure the website has a high pagerank with dofollow tags.  If you're having trouble finding a site to do reciprocal linking, you can link your website to relevant blogs with high pagerank and dollow tags.  Research blogs on blogsearch.google.com that are relevant to your website, go to http://www.selfseo.com/check_google_page... to check the blog's PageRank and then check the source code of the blog to see if it's a dofollow blog (hit ctrl + f, type in "nofollow", if the word shows up stay away from the blog).

You might also might want to ask an expert.  Even if you're not looking for an outside SEO person, there are some out there who'd be willing to offer advice for free.  I used a guy named Eric whose e-mail is [e-mail] for SEO and he helped me out a lot.

that's pretty much all you can do! maybe you can also pass around flyers, business cards and door hangers with the business information and offers and include the website as well.

Tricky

it came up second on a Google search for marine products which is good, but, maybe you need to focus on what most people search for in this field.  

I don't have a boat so I've no idea, but take your best selling product group and maybe try to get the page rankings higher for those individually. Maybe engine makes or types or common parts.

Links: how about reciprocal links in local, related (but not competing) businesses - boatyards, marine clothing suppliers, boat hirers etc. ?

For you information, your site is INVALID and gives 17 errors when scan it on W3C.

You'll need customers review your products or services with their incoming links to help you spare the words around. That's how business grow.

Also, in SEO, remember "you don't build your site for the search engine, you build it for humans, people like us to read." Because search engine won't buy from you, but we do.
