I changed to ubunto gnome 8.04.1 and i am forced to use a stupid dongle which keeps cutting on and off the internet. It's a pain in the A**!! How can i get it to work? Is there a way of, like in windows, getting a dxdiag-like page up on ubuntu so that i can see what the card is and then seeing if there is a driver. I have the same problem with my external hard drive which doesn't work on it. Why?

  1. Operating in the environment that you are using requires specific drivers for the specific device. You must contact the product vendor for the RPM packages for the device. That is just the way it is.
