Question:

How can i get myself more excited for sleep?

it's so boring at the beginning, i postpone it and end up sleeping really late. and even then, it's forced.

and i don't have the time nor energy to go out all day and exercice till i drop.

  1. I have the same problem, and they diagnosed me with Delayed Sleep Phase Syndrome, it's when your circadian rhythm doesn't work right and your internal clock is off.

    How I manage that and get "excited" to sleep is that I take a hot shower and then watch t.v.  I make myself not do anything else.  Make sure your room is super dark and cool.  Maybe find a book you're interested in, b/c reading makes me fall asleep.  Also I found watching the shop at home channels makes you sleep, I think because it's so boring.

    i usually set it to like 15 or 30 minutes and it turns off by itself.

  3. heres what you do. an hour or so before bed time do everything your body needs. take a shower if needed, have a snack,get a drink, use the bathroom , watch a little bit of tv and just relax and you'll eventually pass out.

  4. I have the same problem.  I'm up all hours of the night because I can't fall asleep, even though I really do like sleeping.  I just play on the computer until my eyes hurt or take some pills.

    AND what i used to do before i had a sleeping disorder is watch tv. that way im in bed relaxing and i count that as sleep. or read a book till i fall asleep. i imagine sleeping as like you get to DREAM. which isthe best ever. and its all dark and quiet and nobody can bother you and its just quiet time to think.
