Question:

How can i get on pointe faster?

i have been doing ballet since i was 3 and now im 15 and im still not on pointe. its quite embarassing when u meet people who have been on pointe since they were in the 5th grade. i admit im not the best dancer ever, but i think my muscles are developed enough and everything. I am really kicking myself now for not taking dance more seriously now when i was younger. within the past couple years i have been really trying and actually trying to do everything correctly without cheating anything. but if anyone has any ideas on things i can do or excercises to get me more ready for pointe or to shwo my teacher that i am it would be greatly appreciated.

  1. ask your teacher what specific exercises you need to be working on

    my recommendation would be lots and lots of releves...


  2. Why Don't you ask her? She may be waiting for you to ask her? If she says no she will have a reason to say no so you can work on that reason if you get me :) So if she says " I don't think your toes are strong enough or your technique isn't that good" Then prove it to her girl! She will then see you have taken her comments on board and know you are loyal and prepared enough to start pointes!
