  1. Call and pretend your sick?

  2. You sound like me there!!

Seriously, you need to show up on the day you were notified to appear. Judges take dim views of not showing up and/or trying to "call in sick."

You will have a chance at some point in the process after you get there to give any reasons that you think you would not be able to serve.  The judge will rule on your reason and will either say yes or no.  You "may" be allowed to defer your service which means you can be called at a later date for service.  You "may" be excused and sent home.  You "may" be told to stay and be assigned to something that's not as involved as a complicated case.  In our county, there are usually way more potential jurors called than end up being empaneled which means a large part of them are sent home with instructions to call in later or are excused outright.

The point here is "show up."  There is a chance that  if you don't, a judge could order you picked up and brought to court or charged for failure to appear for your duty.  Don't just not go!!!

  3. say your freinds are cops and u always side with the pigs

  4. Gee......how would you feel if you were on trial and had a jurist as lame as you.   Jury of your peers dear....jury of your peers.

  5. Call the court that sent you the notice- tell what you just said-that should do it

  6. you are allowed to take notes

Maybe you will get a murder case, that will keep you from getting bored.

  8. It's called a duty, and a duty is something one does one's best at, or is considered a failure.
