How can i get over the death of my hermet crab??

Question

i miss him so much well i had 2 1 was realy mean and one i loved but then i went on vacaon and asked my friend to whach him i came back and he was dead his water spounge was dry and i cyed for a long time please help me get over my poor little crab

I know what it feels like to loose someone special. But you just got to get over it. Try stuff that will take ur mind off of him. Amusment parks, etc.

I have gone through the SAME THING! I was really depressed also but you have to remember that no matter how upset you get you have to let yourself heal. I understand the hermit wasn't just any hermit but still. Even the biggest wounds CAN heal. And sometimes you need to, you know, maybe have someone help you "stitch it up". You should talk to your family and friends about it and maybe consider a new hermit that seems like your old one. When mine died, i got another who was shockingly very sweet. Even though whenever i look at him i think of my other one but i think that whenever something good leaves you and you can't replace it with something as good as it was, you can replace with something almost as good. its ok i feel really sad too when a pet dies, it's natural. don't take it out on your friend, even though it feels you have to be angry at someone. There are many stages of grief and you will eventually get over him. Maybe you could get another pet. I know that it couldn't replace him but you'd probably feel happier if you had a different pet to distract yourself.

Cry as much as you feel is right, and go ahead scarf down that whole carton of Ben and Jerrys or Haagen Daiz ice cream, death is SAD. Hold a little funeral and tell him how great he was. Oh how sad that must be. Just know this- he is in hermit crab heaven right now looking down on you SO LET HIM KNOW THAT YOU LOVED HIM AND YOU'LL NEVER FORGET HIM, but he would want you to move on and be happy after a little bit. I am so sorry about your little hermit.

I had a hermit crab about a year ago. when it died I realized they dont live that long. But when it did die I was upset too, so i bought another one. It kept my mind off the other crab, then after a couple weeks I forgot all about my old one. but it depends how upset you are. if your to upset to even see another one after this then you probably dont want to do this. but if its just like you were crying a little bit you might be ready for a second one. i hope this will help you.

I too, am a hermit crab owner, and know what it feels like to lose a hermit crab. My old crab Patrick was my most active crab, and one day he just stopped moving. Don't worry. You'll eventually accept it and be happy he's in a better place.

Crying is good, it takes out your inner feelings, so dont stop yourself from crying.  You just have to know that wherever he is, he is happy, and he wouldn't want you to be sad.  Its a shame, but everybody has to leave everyone behind and go to the upper world.  Just remember all the good times you had with him.  Last  

September I lost my favorite bunny Daisy.  I cried a lot.  But I got over it, because as much as I cried, she wasn't going to come back.  So just know that wherever Chucky is, he is watching over you!
