Question:

How can i get oxygen out of the water in my pool?

there is a swimming pool chemical that get the oxygen or air out of the water. in fact i am not really sure what it does i was just told it does that to help kill and get ride of algae in the pool, but i am just now wondering what its the chemistry in all of that. i believe the chemical its call protean supreme or something. I am not sure but i will just like to understand what it does and how does it?.

  1. I am sorry to say that I think that you are indulging in "kitchen chemistry" in an area that you do not understand. My slight knowledge of swimming pool chemistry leads me to understand that the pool should be aerobic or oxidising and not anaerobic or reducing. This is why such products as chlorine , hydrogen peroxide, KMnO4, ozone, etc are used to keep pools in good order. I strongly advise you to call on the advice of your nearest professional swimming pool maintenance company, who will advise you,  for the cost of the chemical treatment only.
