  1. There's no quick fix to your mental game.

Personally I think the best way to approach tennis matches is to concentrate on each stroke as opposed to worrying about the score etc.

Concentrate on getting the best stroke you can on each shot and it'll focus your attention to your game instead of on the score. That way each point (regardless of the situation) is just another stroke. You have to learn to calm down, slow down your game and focus.

  2. Mental toughness comes with experience and a good attitude. You should also read "Winning Ugly" and "The Inner Game of Tennis" - it will help you understand some strategy and the mental aspects of the game.  Some people are mentally tough because of other experiences in their life.  Think of pressure as an opportunity to excel.  People have a natural tendency to avoid pressure and fear it.  You should invite it.  Have fun with it, and just enjoy the game, regardless of the score.  Think of it as a battle, and fight for every point.  Good luck!

  3. You have to think positive all of the time. When you make mistakes, you have to think that you're better than that and you're just having a bad day. Just don't think negative. Remember, there's always room to improve.

  4. play lots and lots of matches that you DONT care about losing. if  it is a practice friendly match then you wont care about losing but u will want to win. that way, hopefully, u wont be getting mad cuz its friendly and ull play consistently throughout...then start doing competitive play and take deep breaths, after a big point give urself a reward if u won it like a big, "yes!" it helps u focus and breaks down the other person....trust me, it works

otherwise just keep playing matches...dont tell urself its a bad day...otherwise everytime u do bad u will think its a bad day and u wont notice any flaws in your game...

    good luck
