  1. listen to the jonas brothers. Julian your dumb its a joke.

  2. listen to some NFL primitime hightlight music that chris berman used to cast

  3. Put in music that you know gets the adrenaline pumping. Get yourself dressed for the scrimmage early and then just sit silently. As the music plays, think back to all the work you put in. Think of the blood and sweat you haved poured onto the field. Think of all the times you toiled in the weightroom or condiitoned with sprints, the times you were screwed over by the coaches, all your great accomplishments so far. Think of the journey that's taken you to this point, this opportunity.

Then, envision yourself playing in the game. See yourself swarming the field, leveling runners, falling on fumbles, snatching interceptions. Play it in your head beforehand, so when you turn off the music and step onto that field, you play with confidence in yourself and what you can do.

Pre-game preparations aren't in the music you listen to. It's how you prepare yourself mentally to succeed.

  4. Listen to Bleed by Meshuggah...amazing metal song.  But other than that just pretend that the guy across from you just stole your gf or a girl you liked...that could help.

  5. i don't know about you, but just watching foot ball gets my adrenaline pumping. Try practicing and working out to be a starter. Micheal Phelps actually listens to hip hop not the jonas cousins or whatever.

  6. The weak side tackle is the "money" blocker for pass protection.  Did the kid who beat you out have more ability to get to the QB?

Or, do you see very little passing, and your coach needs you to stop the run because you're quicker and the strong side of the field usually offers more opportunities for pursuit.

Can't help you with the "gettin crazy" part.  I played "calm" on the outside, but ferocious with my hits.  The thing that got me focused was my defensive coach going over the key focus items for that team, that day, for us to win while he taped my ankles - and if someone "cheap-shotted" me during the game, that would really fire up the adrenalin furnace.  But "foaming at the mouth" was never my gig. Eats up a lot of energy for "show" - energy that can be better used blowing up a running back.

Impress your coach with your smarts in neutralizing the opposition.

    Be a thinker
