How can i get rid of a virus?

Question

I know i have a virus. Some type of Virus im guessing from me downloading Free Software. I used to get pop-up things on my tool bar telling me my PC if Infected and stuff...i been running some scan from ad-aware 07..i got rid of that annoying part...now my PC runs Dead Slow...and idk if i can restore it back to day one...what options do i have...and anything to get rid of it..thank you

Either you can restore it to the date when you still don't have the virus or reformat your computer.

clean your temporary internet files and run the defragmentor first to see if this speeds it up..it very often does.  click Internet options under tools at top and then click delete files under the general tab.

Try NOD32 trial for 30 days (just download it, scan ,remove the malware then you can unistall it). If your wanting permanent protection heres the best FREE antimalware in my opinion: AVAST! Antivirus just google it.

Hey man, I used to have the same exact problem, and a few days later my computer crashed. I had it fix for like $250, and they guy recommended Trend-Micro PC Cillin Internet Security 2008. It works great and has a 30-Day Free Trial. I haven't gotten a virus since, just some tracking cookies. It also has data theft prevention that keeps all of your passwords, user names, bank information, and personal information safe. And it has a web filter, so you don't accidentally go to some website that installs ad-ware and spy-ware on your computer.

Next get Advanced Disk Cleaner to remove garbage temp files from your computer that take up a lot of space

if your system is going on slow trac them you should defragment your system disk's. also install a strong antivirus n firewall such as quickheal .......

also you shopuld delete all temp rayr file present in your syssetm by typing "%temp% " in the run.

yes....you can also get the system restored if it is a virus........

last option is to reinstall your syatem.....
