How can i get rid of dust mites on teddys?

i found some teddys under my bed this morning which must have been left for ages ebcause their are dead dust mites on it which are quite biggish compared to how they normally are.

now i would wash it but it's a TY teddy with a paper tag on it and without it would lose it's worth cause they are quite expensive.

how can i get rid of them and any eggs it may have laid?

I talked to a teddy bear expert and she said to lightly vacuum it, place in  a ziplock bag, and put in the freezer for 2 weeks. If you notice any more bugs after removing from the freezer, repeat but leave in the freezer for 1 month.
