My cat brought fleas into my house and now i seem to be overrun with the horrors!!

I treated the house twice with Bob Martin powder whilst also treating the cat. None of this worked, so i bought frontline from the vets for the cat and had the council fumigate my house.

They are still alive and kicking, and its so embarrassing! Can someone tell me what to do??

  1. regular vaccuming like every day, make sure the cat does not sleep every where try to keep it confined indoors while you treat your home and it, the cat is reinfecting itself every time you let it out, but of course it could be that some else has a cat and they are bringing them in keep your eyes open. failing that if you hate fleas get rid of the cat to some one else

  2. Diatomaceous Earth works real good for bug control. Diatomaceous Earth kills by physical action, not chemical, by puncturing the insect’s exoskeleton and absorbing the moisture in their bodies. So the insect dies of dehydration within 24 to 48 hours. There are three types of Diatomaceous Earth. The type I recommend is the Feed Grade Diatomaceous Earth (Fossil shell flour). It is very inexpensive and can be found in most feed stores. Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth is the purest form of Diatomaceous Earth. Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth is totally organic and safe. It can be used on household pets, gardens, flower beds, field crops, grain storage, and livestock feeding. Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth is Mother Nature's product with no harm to the environment, pets or to people. Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth is safe for humans to eat and is used in storing wheat. You may already be eating a little in some of the foods you eat.

  3. Vacuuming daily will help. Place a few moth balls in the sweeper bag to kill the ones you suck up. Fleas live in grass and can be brought into the house when you walk through it to enter the house. I had to treat my lawn for them.
