i have a problem my eyes get blood red during the day and i also can see some i guess veins on my eyes. i wear hard contact because i cannot use soft contacts because of a disease i have which is call keratoconus, anyway i'm working on getting a new prescription but i don't know if the cause of the red eyes is because i need a new prescription, what i also do is i go to bed really late i'm talking at 2 am and i have to get up at 7 am which i know is not good for my body or my eyes. i do use the eye relief eye drops and they get rid of some of the redness but not all of them, people think i'm smoking or i have pink eye which i don't have or do any of those two, i know i have to sleep more but any suggestion on how can i get rid of this red eyes and again i have all kinds of redness relief eye drops which work but know so much and what do you think the red veins on my eyes they pretty much look like red spider webs i don't know if it makes any sence if i put it that way

thanks

  1. i know exactly what you're feeling the best advice i can you is to make sure your eyes are also lubicated at all times, because with contacts they will get dry, and not to fall asleep in the contacts because it can cause an ulcer in your eyes.

  2. Try natural tears. They usually come in small individual use containers because they don't contain preservatives. Use them all day long and see if it makes a difference. Lack of sleep can contribute to red eyes and so can allergies. A lot of people won't experience any allergy symptoms but will have ocular allergies that affect their eyes. I'd suggest making an appointment with your optometrist at the time of day when your eyes are usually red so he can address the problem.
