Question:

How can i get rid of shyness before i go to school???!!?

i don't want to be called the shy girl anymore (any advice) :)

  1. Self Motivation - Practice Being Social In the mirror before you go to bed and when you wake up. Create a montra like ..."I talk and people listen. I am brave." repeat this spoken or thought to yourself for about 60 seconds before and after you go to bed. After 13 days you will start to see changes in yourself towards the goal you seek. After 30 days it will become a habbit. Practice speaches in the mirror and perhaps join some clubs that will help you become more social. You can join clubs that help you express yourself like ... drama club, the debate team, cheerleading, band, an art club, the school newspaper, or school politics. You can also volunteer with old people, children, or animals.Sports teams are good to increase self-confidence also especially aftershool martial arts programs. So many ways to become brave in a scary world and express yourself. Start writing, singing, painting, expressing yourself day and knight. Eventually you will develope a new part of your personality that is what you seek...social, outgoing, and probably popular. Good luck.  


  2. alrite this is what u do DO NOT GO TO ANY DRUGS BAD IDEA TRUST ME what you need to do is try to meet new people and join clubs or do some talent shows or somthing that involves socializing and getting use to crowds

  6. yea thats tuff.. ive been shy for a while, and i am sarting to slowely lose it, i still turn red for no reason sometimes, when the teacher asks me a question i turn red sometimes.. and its wierd cause i dont feel uncomftorable mos ttimes..  but when it gets me annoyed, cause i feel me going red and i dont know why

    as for how to stop being shy.. you really cant just stop, its who you are, but you can limit it by just not being, raise your hand, start conversations.. etc.. just do things that a shy person wouldnt do.. weather you feel comftorable or not it doesnt matter, just fake it

  7. Step outside of your comfort zone; if you want to be outgoing, and are shy, you are going to have to do something that feels uncomfortable at first. Confide in your closest friends and come out of your shell with them near you; they will only help the situation.

    Also, join clubs. Clubs will help you with your ability to talk in large groups because everyone there wants to hear what you have to say...and if you can talk in a large crowd you can most certainly talk to an individual.

  8. What I did to beat my major shyness, was actually do some writing, and read it in front of others. It really helps you to feel more comfortable with speaking and communicating with people.

    If that doesn't work for you, you should try confronting people, but simply asking them questions about themselves and such instead of doing all the talking. When they ask back, just give them an honest, full hearted answer.
