How can i get rid of telemarketers?

It's no good changing your phone number.they just have automatic diallers that ring one number after another.

I had a brand new line put in and a brand new ex-directory number and I soon started getting telemarketing calls.

Like I said, their machine just dials 1 number after another until someone replies.

If you live in the USA, register your telephone number with this website:

https://www.donotcall.gov/

It will take three months for it to go fully into effect but it is well worth the wait.

In the meantime, tell telemarketers that you are just "not interested" and put the phone down.  Don't even engage them in any conversation.

Well this is what my grandpa did:

Tellermarrketer:HI is Bill there?

Bill:this is she(he is a man

TEllerMarketer:Uh yah ummm would you like to buy our coffe maker?

Bill:Hello? (in a mental voice)

Teller:Uhhh Hi

Bill:Hello(mental voice)

Bill Hello?Hello?Mental voice

Then they hung up and never called!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Register your numbers with no call registries whichj you can find on google. Different countries , states, and cities, have different policies and practices in that area.

When I see a call on the phone that I know is a telemarketer I just pick it up and hang it up instantly.  If I do answer it, as soon as they start their speal I just politely say to remove my name from their list and say no thank you I'm not intersted and hang up before they get a chance to speak.
