how can i get rid of the permanent bags underneath my eyes?

i have purple (sometimes pinkish) circles and shading underneath my eyes

i've heard it is because there is only thin tissue there?

is this true?

and because i have fair skin it looks like i only get about 3 hours sleep every night even when i get 9 or 10!!!

its so ugly, will concealer cover it up?

and what could it possibly be?

Try icing it in the morning with ice or cold spoons, and get a better sleep habit.

I have a very similar problem.  My cousin and I were discussing this during her last visit because she has the same issue - I've been putting cocoa butter around my eyelids and under my eyes, which I've noticed has made a slight difference, (and makes my skin softer!)  I also bought Physician's Formula under eye circle - it's definitely changed it a few shades lighter (they claim over a few weeks, you notice a difference).  I use a little bit everyday even without foundation and it looks much better.  My sister also was reading that putting potato slices (like some women put cucumbers on their eyes to reduce swelling) over your eyes can also reduce the darkness.  That's going to be the next thing in this process that I try, so maybe you'll have some luck too!  Hope this helps!
