  1. You could try to find values for many common coins in books they should have at your local public library to get a basic idea of what you have.  Also, take everything to a local coin dealer, to see what they say -- shouldn't cost you anything.  If their valuations seem low, you could try a different place.  (Hopefully you live in an area where several of these places exist.)  Avoid the places that place the full page "We Buy Gold!" ads in newspapers, though.  They pay c**p.

No idea about the very old coin from antiquity.  I'd google it if I were you, or again try to look it up in the local library (good luck w/ that!).

  2. If you have loads then you need to see a coin dealer or two. There is no free site that will help you without doing a lot of looking on your part. They need to be seen to be graded. The Roman coin vale depends on what it is made of. If bronze and in say very good to fine grade $10-$20 if silver $25 and up depending on grade, real low grade less. One note of caution make sure you go to the right dealer when seeking a value. U.S. coin dealers know little about world coins and even less about ancients. The day of the dealer who knows a little about them all is over. Only old timers like me remember those days and I have more books than most dealers. See if a coin club is in your area for it's members can be of a great help. I can usually help on a small list but do not have the time for large ones.
