Question:

How can i get stronger/bigger calves ?

Ive already searched this question 43569 times and found the same answer ever time. Iam 13 years old with skinny legs . However iam a regional distance runner and a showman soccer player . I dont understand why my legs are skinny. I dont want them to get to the point were they are hard as rock, i just want them to be able to see and be shaped . Try not to answer technically to. keep it in english. im not the brightess cookie

  1. At 13 you will still be skinny no matter what you do. Guys start to have build at 18 -24 and belly after that. You can only tone for now and just strengthen it by doing squats


  2. standing calf raise do 50 to 100 in a row

    do skipping it will strengthen your calf muscle and forearms

    otherwise do these for strong lower body

    squat

    leg press

    leg extension

    leg curl


  3. Ok when you work a muscle constantly it will need time to rest to get bigger and stronger however if your constantly using a muscle like your legs for distance and soccer it won't get bigger it will develop alot of muscle endurance but not strength jus look at marathon runners hardly any muscle on their legs but they can run forever so i think its either get calves or do your thing with the distance and soccer thing.

  4. First do you have a bike ???

    If you do you should cycle twice a day for at least 20 mins a and over time you'll see a change in the size of your calves.
