  1. Wouldn't bother - too much money for not enough qualification.

If you turn up to work anywhere with a *nix-based network (which is quite a lot of places), you'll be laughed out of hte building.

MCSE *only* trains you on microsoft products - if you go for something like the CompTIA qualifications, you get a more rounded skillset.

  2. Go here and find out more http://www.microsoft.com/learning/mcp/mc...

  3. U can take it directly in a personal website.  It is very easy.

of course, u should  get some practice test and  do it.

U can  get the free practice test for MCSE  from the below link:

    http://www.mcse.cc/thread-117-1-1.html

If u want to take it in a personal website, I suggest u to take it in Killtest.( http://www.killtest.com )  I find it has low price and high quality.

    Good luck.

  4. Read all the books (or go take all the classes)

    Take all the tests

  5. Hello,

(ANS) My sincere advise to you would DON'T do it honestly, I'm talking from direct experience here. I wouldn't waste time or money on doing an MCSE.

Why? I did my MCSE back in 2000 I spend several thousand pounds doing 30days of the official Microsoft Study curriculum. My course was MCSE Windows 2000 server & windows 2000 Professional (including Proxy server 2.0, SQL server 7.0, Exchange Server, Networking & TCP/IP in depth) I did my course with Spring IT training one of the UK's largest & well respected companies in this field.

Doing an MCSE made no difference to my job/employment prospects due to my age being 35+. Many IT employers want to pay peanuts to some young person in their 20's who they can pay a tiny salary too and then get another youngster when the first one leaves.

**MCSE is NOT as well respected as it should be.

**Many many employers have no idea what an MCSE is or involves.

**Many employers want someone with MCSE level abilities but don't want to pay for that in terms of actually salary paid.

**The best way to gain an MCSE is to:- a) get your employer to fund you as you go along or b) pay for it yourself through something like a career development loan.

    Kind Regards Ivan
