How can i get the local council to move a crossing 500yards to outside my primary school & preschool nursery?

the speed limit is 30 mph but drivers insist on speeding as they drive out of the village & dont slow down as they drive in from a 60 to 40 to 30mph limit. Parents and children find it difficult to cross we dont have a lollipop lady as noone wants the job. We have already had an accident involving a parents car and a speeding lorry driver, we dont want it to be a child next.

First, call the non-emergency number for the police every morning when there are confirmed speeders.  Yes, this will annoy them, but have the parents call too.  All calls are a matter of public record so there will documentation when you call.

Next, if you have the funds hire an off-duty officer to run a speed trap on a few alternate mornings in the zone.  See how many tickets they can rack up.



Third, get the parents and you to go to the next city council meeting and plead your case.
