How can i get the obtical digital cable to start workin when i connect it to my bose123 and my ps3?

I cant get no sound to come out of it. I got my hdmi cable connected to my hdtv and my obtical digital cable connected to my bose123.

Make sure there are no kinks in the cable, if there are you will not get any sound. The light in the cable needs to travel unobstructed.

you need to assign the optical input in the bose setup audio menu by default is assign to analog, so you go to the let say cable source in the bose an assign the digital audio input to optical in the menu.
