How can i get the penicillin smell or scent out of my couch?

i have a couch and it smells like penicillin, i think someone spilled it on it. ive tried febreeze, scrubbing with furniture cleaner, and parfume..... Please help!

  1. Sounds like mold to me. Well, we know penicillin is made from mold, so that would make sense. I would make a solution of white vinegar and hot water and sponge the area that's stinky. The next day, after it dries, I would sprinkle a good amount of arm/hammer baking soda on the fabric and let it sit all day. Then, I would vacuum the baking soda up. That should do it. The combo of the two, vinegar for breaking up any spill residue and the baking soda for a deoderizer works in just about any fabric situation. Good luck!


  2. Take the couchin covers off and throw them in the washing machine on a delicate cycle. Use oxyclean and please don't put them in the dryer, let them air dry.
