  1. I'm in beauty school right now, and we have learned you can get a blow dryer and attach a concentrator attachment to the dryer which directs the heat concentrating specifically on the area of hair you would like to straighten.  Pull the hair taut or tight with a brush and direct the nozzle downwards to seal the cuticle of the hair strands for a nice straight finish.  This is also close to a method that is used at Dominican salons called a "Dominican Blowout", which alot of people opt for that grow out relaxers.  It gives you a relaxer result without a relaxer.  Make sure you wrap your hair up at night with a satin or silk scarf to keep your hair straight at least for a week or two before your next shampoo.  Make sure you use a moisturizer for your roots or straightening serum before using the blow dryer.
