How can i get the signal of an iphone upconverted to 1080p to see the image at a decent quality in my HDTV?

  1. You won't have to do that.  When you feed any video signal into an HDTV, it automatically upconverts it to the HDTV's native resolution.  So if the picture quality is poor you won't be able to make it any better.  

    (it may say 480i when you check for resolution but that's because it is reporting the source resolution. It is still upconverting - it has to.)
