How can i get the thickest smoke out of my hookah?

Ok i have a hookah and i dont usually get very thick smoke any advise?????????????

Really and truly it boils down to two things, tobacco, holes and heat. Granted a Good Bowl and Hookah will help, but if you do it right it won't matter that much.

Tobacco

There are just some tobaccos that no matter what you do you will never get big smoke. That's all there is to it. Switch to a better tobacco, like Romman, Tangiers, Al Fakher, or Potion.

Then packing the tobacco.

Break it up as best you can with your fingers or a fork I normal do this on a plate for smaller boxes of tobacco. Then pinch some tobacco with 3 fingers and drop it in the bowl until it's about  an 1/8 of an inch above the rim, then pack it down with your fingers to just below the rim.

Holes

If you use a screen you are set. If you use foil there are two schools of opinion. Lots of big holes all over or lots of little holes all over. I personally use little holes it keeps ash from falling into the bowl and making the smoke harsh.

Coals

Once you light your coals start with them on the outside edge of your bowl and move them around every 10-15 minutes. Usually I start out with 3 coals, and if starts to get harsh I take one off. And when it gets to light I put it back on. You can't always light them and forget it. Quicklights are very useful coals, but the don't generate the heat as well as natural coals. Once I switched to natural coals, coconara's specifically, I have never gone back!
