How can i get to know the guy i like better?

i think hes interested in me, but we've only had four classes (like class meetings) together this year so it's hard to say...i just met him on the first day of school (last week) when he introduced himself to me and we've been getting pretty friendly ever since. how can we get even more friendly, like to the point that we start hanging out after school?

Tell him what you just asked - that you think he's a great guy and you'd like to hang out with him after school one day next week.  Something like (for our example his name is Biff):  "Hey Biff I think you are really cool.  I'd like to just hang out with you after school some time.  What are you doing next Thursday?"  Casual but elegant.  Then maybe he could take it from there and suggest something, but you have some ideas, too.  Ask your friends what is good to do on a first meeting - it really isn't a date - maybe you could suggest that your friends and his friends all meet up somewhere.

No games - that just wastes time - be forward and honest.

Stay safe, too.  Always go somewhere public, not to his house or him to yours - too soon.  (Well, duh, you know that already!)
